History
Having begun to sell aircraft at WheelAir in the late 60’s and after a four year stint with National Aero Associates, Rod O’Shea incorporated U.S. Aircraft Sales in 1975. The company soon outgrew its office at Elm Street and in 1984 moved to its new more spacious facility on Beverly Road. Equidistant between two of the Washington DC metro area’s main airports, IAD (Dulles) and DCA (Reagan National), the office is located in the business district of McLean, Virginia. A satellite office in Fort Myers, Florida, was established in 2005.
With its local staff in the United States and associates in Canada, Germany, Russia, and Brazil, the company has consummated more than 1,000 aircraft transactions, selling, buying and leasing corporate aircraft from the larger turboprops to helicopters, medium and large business jets, as well as executive airliners. Transcending time zones, our business is global, selling aircraft from Taiwan to New Zealand, from the Ukraine to Norway, and from Switzerland to Argentina. Our clients have been individuals, corporations, governmental agencies or heads of state.
Our senior brokers have been with us for over twenty years. Our acquisitions and market analysts specialize in different sections of the market. They are able to provide immediate and up-to-date market valuations for a given aircraft. To create synergy and combine detailed knowledge with experience, we form teams or the entire firm for the benefit of our clients.
